Inflection is an unprecedented collection of 99.9% pure tantalum integrated bracelet watches featuring grand feu enamel dials crafted by the workshop of 孔令俊 (Kong Lingjun), the foremost enamel dial atelier in China. It houses an iconic movement from haute horlogerie manufacture Girard-Perregaux; the calibre 03300, that has been heavily customised and decorated in a variety of premium finishes.
An unprecedented achievement in tantalum
Each individual link on Inflection’s bracelet as well as the case, is made entirely of 99.9% pure tantalum. Tantalum is a pure, highly inert and corrosion-resistant metal, known for its enigmatically dark bluish-grey tone. It is dense, rare, notoriously difficult to machine, and rarely employed in the world of watchmaking.
The design of Inflection further complicates this process. With no exposed flat planes on the case and bracelet, it creates a far more complex interplay between the endless concave and convex surfaces.
Its mixture of brushed, frosted and mirror-polished surfaces have been specifically designed to capture and amplify the natural sheen and beauty of the material.
